Hagley, Stourbridge PHYSIO TREATMENT

At your initial appointment with a physiotherapist at our Hagley, Stourbridge practice we will begin, firstly with taking a full case history. This enables us to evaluate your injury and importantly to understand the factors that may be contributing to it.  Normally we ask patients to remove some of their clothing during the examination and treatment. Therefore, you may choose to bring a pair of shorts and a t-shirt to change into before your assessment, if it makes you feel more comfortable.

You are also always free to bring along a friend or relative with you to act as your chaperone. Following the case history, your physiotherapist may conduct further medical, orthopaedic or neurological tests. They will explain the aim of each test and hence the relevance of these as they proceed. Finally, your physiotherapist will explain the most appropriate treatment for you. They will also give you an indication of how many treatments you are likely to need to fully recover.
