They will then evaluate what influence other factors, including your occupation or recreational lifestyle is having on your injury.
Having taken the case history, your physio will carry out a series of tests. These tests are particularly useful in determining an accurate diagnosis.
It is especially important to us that all of our patient’s feel comfortable during their examination and treatment.
Therefore your physio will do their best to respect your modesty at all times. However, it is also important that you communicate with them whenever you feel uncomfortable.
Your phyio treatment will be hands-on, and will often involve soft tissue massage, stretching as well as mobilisation techniques.
However, treatment is different for every patient and depends on your age, fitness and the diagnosis.
Finally, your physio will reassess your case with a colleague if there is no significant improvement within six treatments.
