Firstly, your Birmingham physio will guide you through an assessment, including your past medical history and your current general health.
They will then evaluate what influence other factors, including your occupation or recreational lifestyle is having on your injury.
It is always our intention to assess, diagnose and commence treatment within this initial consultation. Therefore your physiotherapy consultation and the treatment process will last between 45 minutes and an hour.
Please bring along any information you may have relating to medication, and also the results of clinical tests, scans or x-rays that you have.
Physio treatment involves hands-on soft tissue massage, as well as stretching and strengthening techniques.
However, physiotherapy treatment is different for every patient and depends on your age, fitness and diagnosis.
