The Guildhall Practice is a multi-disciplinary practice, based in Birmingham City Centre, offering physiotherapy within a therapeutic team. Our Physiotherapists will treat you according to you particular needs with a treatment plan that is structured for you.
Physiotherapy is suitable for everyone; we frequently the whole range of complaints from young athletes through to the elderly. Our physiotherapists use treatment approaches which are based upon the latest medical research.
Although our aim is to ease the pain, we aim to understand why injury occurred in the first place. Sometimes an injury follows a direct accident, however, it’s often the fact that injury often follows from some degree of weaknessand subsequent vulnerability.

Your Initial Physio Consultation.
At the Guildhall Practice your initial appointment with one of our Physiotherapists will be forty five minutes. For follow up Physio appointments we allow thirty minutes.
During the initial consultation your physiotherapist will take a case history and take you through appropriate tests in order to diagnose your complaint. It is our experience that normally with most patients we are able to commence treatment immediately, during the first consultation.
Dance and Sports Related Injury
At the Guildhall Practice the treatment of sports and dance related injuries is one of our specialist areas. Our physiotherapists all have a passion for sport and have been actively involved with sports teams, elite athletes, and/or professional dancers.
Although we treat a number of high performing athletes and dancers, we apply the same standard of care to all of our patients.
Surgery is often only the beginning of a process, and it is important that you ensure that you are both prepared and rehabilitated properly.
Post operative rehabilitation is important because whilst surgery may repair the damaged tissue at the heart of the problem it may not correct the way in which your body has adapted to the problem. Post-op rehabilitation and treatment deals with the swelling and scarring left over from surgery, the associated problems that developed as a result of your injury and helps ensure the restoration of normal function. We will maintain communication throughout your treatment with your consultant.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Physiotherapy is well regulated in the UK. Physiotherapists must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council in order to practice. Patients may be referred by their doctor, or may opt to see a physio independently.
